John Legettino:

Former Arm Sargent . Security. Worked his way up to Head of Security of LA Link.

John strangled the woman who opened him to the Link to death. As he was opened to the Link that act shaped his journey.

“An Angry murderer trying to understand the concept of forgiveness.”

Holland Schwarts:

Is a biological construct created by the Anunnaki. He is a newer model, lower powered, as Bronze. He was made just before WWII. Then was sent to the Enclave in New York City after the invasion to keep order.

He is arrogant with humans, subservient with his alien makers. Jealous of Bronze. He takes human lovers, but does not understand love.

Rebecca Chu (Wang, Bai Tuzi)

The culmination of a plan that defies its design. Her mother is Faith. Faith ends up in China which is where Rebecca is born. Rebecca comes back to the US to live with the Chu’s in LA. She becomes a CIA asset with Rick as her minder. Rebecca starts the Link in LA with the help of Rick and Ray.

Lilibet Chu:

Born in LA. Lili is the true source of the Link. She acts as a Gateway that allows Harvey to emerge into reality. She can time travel. She goes back to 2017 to rescue Je Jun from suicide. She is the mother of Zachary (the father is Adam, the son of Rebecca and Li-Jun).

Lili is the desire for love unfulfilled.

Richard Winston Stanford (Rick):

Rick grew up in the same community as Faith. They knew each other in high school and might have dated, possibly married if Sol and Harvey hadn’t waylaid her life. He was assigned as Rebecca’s contact and minder precisely because of his relationship with her mother. He has a fatherly attitude toward Rebecca.

Rick graduated from the Naval Academy at Annapolis attaining a graduate degree at university in Beijing. He speaks fluent Mandarin and Japanese, good Korean and passable Russian.

Bronze:

This is the original face of Bronze and the one he returns to after reuniting with the Anunnaki. For five thousand years (roughly) he survived on the Earth by occupying one human body after another. That was not in his original programming. When his creators abandoned him he had to improvise to survive.

Wang, Li-Jun (aka Fearless Leader, aka the Boss):

Li-Jun, a Chinese actor who came to LA to play one of the leading asian rolls in a joint Sino/American production called “Men of Clay”. It is based on a novel written by a Beijing archeology professor about the Terracotta Army of Zi’an.

Li-Jun becomes stuck in America when the pandemic hits. He gets to know Rebecca through Zachary Chu, her American sponsor for immigration, who is the ceramic consultant for the movie. Their meeting was actually pre-ordained.

He goes to be with Rebecca last five days before Sol retrieves her back from Earth. Rebecca performs a Link with him that gives him access to her powers (much of which were given to her by Lilibet) in a way that alters his very being. After Rebecca leaves he is gradually taken over by the the powerful Link, loosing his free will in the process. Stella, because of the way she was altered by Bronze has the capacity to negate the effects of the Link (not to undo it). As long as they are together Li-Jun can function normally as himself while still retaining his powers. That is why she ended up marrying him.

Stella Mancuso (around 28):

Stella, the name sake for the book, will eventually marry Li—Jun. She is used by nearly every powerful entity she comes in contact with (Holland Schwarts, Harvey, Bronze, Ray, even Trevor a little). In the end she decides on her life path based on what she believes is best for herself and those she loves.

Reluctant but inevitable motherhood.
